The Enerplage® process

The Enerplage process is an optimization of the Ecoplage® drainage technology, which allows different uses of seawater.

Indeed, the seawater coming from the drains is perfectly filtered by the sand and can be used for:

  • Supplying swimming pools or water basins
  • Reoxygenation of eutrophised lagoons or swamps
  • Sea Spa Centers
  • Fish farming or shellfish aquaculture
  • Production of fresh water or drinkable water
  • Production of heat and/or cold (heaters and AC units)

The Enerplage® system was tested in 2013 on the beach of St Gilles Croix-de-Vie (85)

Then, the following systems have been implemented :

- At Boulogne sur Mer (62), the drained water feeds the basins of the Nausicaa Aquarium...

- At La Baule-Escoublac (44), the drained water is used to supply the pools and the heat pump of the Aquabaule aquatique centre.

- At St Jean-de-Luz (64), the drained water provides the Sea Spa center and the heat pumps in order to cool the building
