La Baule-Escoublac

For the city of La Baule-Escoublac, ECOPLAGE has created a 3 in 1 system, with the following objectives:

- Fighting erosion on 1km of the La Baule-Escoublac beach

- Providing water to the Aquabaule aquatic centre's pools with highly filtered seawater

- Supply a heat pump to cool/heat the pools and the building using drained water (AC)

Figures :

· Less than 4 months of work (29th october of 2018 —> 15th of February 2019)

· 950m of drains

· 12 drain lines (6 on each side)

Drainage to stop erosion…

· Dries out the surface of the foreshore

· Limits the departure of sand

· Facilitates post-storm recovery

· Limits external sand inflows

... and provide seawater to the Aquabaule:

· Seawater filtered by beach sand

· Heating pools and buildings thanks to ocean thermal energy

· Water supply for pools
